Posted by Ted Miller (Student at Wheable High School (1957-1962)) On Sunday, September 4, 2016
As a former Wheable High School student many years ago, and as a member of the Wheable Band and the Wheable Dance Band, I was saddened to learn of Don McKellar's passing. Don was a remarkable person and teacher who had a significant impact on those students privileged to learn from him.

My condolences to Don's family. Your Father was one of those rare and special teachers and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

On behalf of my mother, Sybil Hagerman, I would like to extend her and my sympathy to Don's family. Don's contribution to the music world will long be remembered. He left an indelible mark on the London arts scene. Both Mom and I recall his kindness, his humour and his humility.

To Laura Jean and all Don's family,

The whole Peterson family wishes to express our sadness that Don has passed away. He brought music and sparkle to everyone who was lucky enough to know him, in particular our beloved mother Laura Marie, whose last days were brightened by his charm, wit, and great conversation.

He will be missed. Much love, Shelley
