BRENNAN, John Francis (Frank) - Died of esophageal cancer on December 16, 2015 in London, Ontario, Canada. Frank is survived by his wife Kathleen, also of Lancashire, England, his daughter Samantha, her husband Jeff, and their children Mallory, Gavin, and Miles, of London, Ontario, and his son John, his wife Shiann and their children Gabrielle, Cole, and Benjamin of Bonnyville, Alberta. He is also survived by his sister Margaret Dorries and her husband Clyde in Cairns, Australia. He is preceded in death by his daughter Sarah, of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Frank was born on July 7, 1938 in Nelson, Lancashire, England to parents Herbert and Kathleen Brennan. He was a Master Baker whose career took him from England to Newfoundland and later to Nova Scotia. In retirement he moved to London, Ontario to live near his daughter and her family but his heart remained on the east coast. In keeping with his character and sense of humour the wake has already been held, while Frank was alive. He hated to miss a party. There is no funeral. Instead, the family is scheduling a memorial reception to be held at Wesley Knox United Church, Askin Street, London, Ontario in mid-January. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Frank's life. Details to follow. Please send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Frank was my first bakery teacher when I was in my late teens. Was always fun to be around. Kathleen was my first bakery boss.
One of the best.
My most sincerest of condolences and the kindest of regards to all at this time.
