Joan and Family: I am so sorry I am late in sending this to you but I just read of Phil's passing today. My heart goes out to you and your family. As I was growing up Phil was always an inspiration to me as I know he was to anyone he crossed paths with. He will never be forgotten.

So sorry to hear of Phil's passing. He was always quietly spoken, kind, and compassionate, and held his family first.......and then music of course. He was also seen as being respectful to friends and colleagues. He will certainly be missed, but will have left many great memories.

My sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Phil's family. He and I enjoyed our time working together in 'Men In Black' jazz trio. I got a lot out of that.. JimH
