MIDDLETON, Dennis John “Fox ” - 64 years young, of R.R. 4 Stratford. It is with heavy hearts and much sorrow, that we announce the passing of our beloved soul mate, husband, dad, “brother”, grandpa and friend. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Dennis passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family in the early morning hours of November 18, 2012. For many years, Dennis thoroughly enjoyed creating the perfect ice pad at the old Rotary Arena and driving the Zamboni in “style”. He later pursued a career in real estate with Century 21 in Stratford. The “Fox’s” outgoing personality and love of people then took him to driving cab with City Cab for several years. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his 5 awesome grandchildren and his family. He loved treating them to fabulous fireworks shows complete with delicious BBQs of prime rib. Dennis’ many loves included music, concerts, fishing at Stoney Lake with Tim, walking the beach with his dogs, attending the grandchildrens’ activities and barbecuing. Loving husband of Kris (Watt), whom he married on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1975. Dear dad of Kelly Clark (Ken) and Kerri Miller (Frank Lennon). Cherished grandpa of Sami, Jill and Jaymee Clark and Avery and Riley Miller. Special “brother” of Deb and Tim McCaul. Brother of Nancy Clark (Al) and family and Bill Middleton (Nancy) and family and many relatives in Clinton and Chatham. He will also be greatly missed by his loyal canine, Echo. Predeceased by his parents, Ted and Emily Middleton and Lloyd and Joyce Watt. Friends will be received at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, Huron St. Stratford for visitation Thursday, November 22, 2012 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate Dennis’ life will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ralph Van Oostveen officiating. Memorial donations to Sleeping Children Around the World, Stratford-Perth Humane Society or Upper Thames Missionary Church would be appreciated.
