CLARK, Jean Merial - Jean Merial Clark, of Sylvan Lake, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Monday, November 21, 2011. Jean was born at Sibbald, Alberta to Morley and Minnie Switzer on January 9, 1920. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Murray Clark; daughters Sandra (Gordon) Lindholm, Colleen (Jim) Chapchuk; her chosen son Curtis Kiyawasew of Valleyview, Alberta. Missing their Grammy are grandchildren James Chapchuk (Jennifer Shepherd), Rona Ambrose (JP Veitch), Morley Chapchuk all of Edmonton, Kristi Anderson (Nate Briner) of San Diego, Cory (Kendra) Anderson Of Red Deer, Chase Kiyawasew of Valleyview; great grandsons Jude and Jasper Anderson of Red Deer. Jean is also survived by sisters Irene Dudley of Langley, BC and Reita (Gordon) Ogg of Nanaimo, BC; sisters-in-law Dot (Carl) Todd of Charlotte, N.C, Ardis Clark of Calgary, Sherrie (Reg) Kyncl of Rocky Mountain House; brother-in-law Don (Pat) Clark of Eckville and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Morley and Minnie Switzer; Murray’s parents Ollie and Edith Clark; brothers John, Ellery and Bruce; sisters-in-law Doris Switzer, Pearl Switzer and Beth Baxter; brothers-in-law David Clark and Bob Dudley. Jean and Murray were long time residents of the Crooked Creek area, where Jean taught school at Goodwin and Ridgevalley and worked in the Valleyview Post Office. They retired to Sylvan Lake in 1988. Jean spent her final months being lovingly cared for by the staff of the Red Deer Hospice. A memorial Service for Jean will be held at the Chapel Of the Sylvan Lake Funeral Home 5019-47A Ave Sylvan Lake on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Frank Durocher officiating. Cremation entrusted to the Rocky Mountain Crematorium. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made in Jean’s name to the Red Deer Hospice 99 Arnot Ave Red Deer, Alberta T4R 3S6 SYLVAN LAKE AND ROCKY FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORIUM
