BARTON, Doris Violet - In her 102nd year, formally of Clear Creek, Ontario, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Terrace Lodge, Aylmer, Ontario. She was born in East Hoathly, Sussex, England, on August 14, 1917, and was the last of her immediately family having been pre-deceased by her parents Lydia and John (Jack) Hylands, and two brothers William (Will) and Albert (Bert) Hylands. She married Frederick John Barton, of Chiddingly, Sussex, England on December 17, 1938. He pre-deceased her on November 11th, 1991. Doris is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (Pat) Orrell (Dave Mahler), London and Barbara (Barb) Thompson, Clear Creek. Great Grandma of Christopher Orrell (Jessica) Caitlin Orrell (Shane), Natalie Oleschuk (Matt) Dana Diggs (Cheady), Kassandra and Cacie Fugard. Selina Thompson (Rob), Samantha (DJ), Greg and Steven Thompson, Mike and Justin McCall, Levi Van Haverbeke (Caitlind), Kate Van Haverbeke, Seth Thompson. Great great Grandma of Ethan, Alena, Cian and Mia Diggs. Serenety, Kaia and Abbi Thompson and Brayden and Baylee Thompson. She is also survived by a number of relatives in England. She was predeceased by sons in law Daniel (Danny) Orrell (2010) and Robert (Bob) Thompson (2017). Relatives and friends may call at the JEFFREY W. GLENDINNING FUNERAL HOME , 36 Front St., Port Rowan on Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. Funeral service will take place Monday March 11, 2019 in the Clark Chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment Cultus Cemetery.
