DIMITRIOS (JIMMY) CRITSELAS It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts in which we announce that Dimitrios (Jimmy, aka Senior) Critselas, has suddenly passed away at the age of only 38 from injuries sustained after being hit with a piece of metal debris which fell from a construction site in downtown Toronto on the evening of Friday, May 4, 2018. Jimmy bravely fought, even reassuring his friends who were with him when the accident happened. Jimmy was born on July 25, 1979 and was a life long resident of Toronto. He was a graduate in the Business-Marketing Program of Humber College. He worked at the Environment & Land Tribunals Ontario in downtown Toronto. He was well loved for his sense of humour by all his colleagues & friends there. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing basketball & watching competitive sports. His favourite NFL team was the Oakland Raiders. He thoroughly enjoyed competing in poker tournaments, & was quite good at winning. He is survived by his mother and father, Panayiota & Constantinos Critselas; his sister, Fotini, his brother, Savvas (Mary-Jane), Godson Dimitrios Bexis, cousins, Theodore (Erica), Gianoula, George (Cathy), Gus and many aunts, uncles, cousins, within Canada, Australia & Greece. We are grateful to Toronto Emergency Services, Toronto Police Services, and all of those at St. Michaels Hospital that did their very best to help him. Lion-Heart Jimmy, you were loved by all! No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts you're always there. Viewing will take place on Thursday May 10th from 5pm to 9pm at Greek Orthodox Cathedral Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Church, 136 Sorauren Ave, Toronto, ON M6R 2E4. Funeral service will take place at 10:30am on Friday May 11th at the same location as above. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation in Jimmy's memory to honour his deep and endearing connection to his Godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and every little soul who brought him such profound joy.
