VACHON, Guy It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Vachon on January 7th, 2018 at the age of 70 at Maison Aube-Lumière in Sherbrooke Quebec. Beloved husband of the late Diane Genesse (2017), former spouse of Denise Bissonnette (Al McRae), father of Nathalie (Steve) and Michel (Beverley), Stephanie, grandfather of Jessica, Maxim, Felix, Bayley, Aidan, Dany and Marie-Lou. He is predeceased by his parents, Ida Poulin and Jules Vachon and his brother Leo. He leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Florent (Georgette), Huguette (Rénald), Christian (Micheline), Suzanne (Gaétan). He was the brother in law to Danielle (Daniel), Louise (Robert), Jocelyne (Vic), Andre (Vicki), Gabriel (Imelda), Jerome (Lori), Marsha (Ricky), Luc (Erlegine), and son-in-law to Antoinnette Bissonnette. Born in Woburn Quebec, he spent 35 years in Welland Ontario working at Atlas Specialty Steels. After retirement he returned to Sherbrooke to be closer to his mother, brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the wonderful people at Maison Aube Lumière for all the compassion and extra care they provided him.

Guy was the kind of man that you would want as your brother, neighbor or friend. His friendship will be forever cherished. I met guy and Diane at a mutual friends home (Coach Cecile Daniel). They were singing Karaoke. Guy loved to sing and entertain at his home in Welland. He was an honest loving person. There were no boundaries to what Guy would do for a friend! God Bless You Guy! Now you can truly rest. You are with you sweet Diane.
