ROCHEFORT, Bernard Astril - It is with heavy hearts that the Rochefort family of Coldwater, Ontario announces the passing of Bernie Rochefort. After a brief but intense battle with cancer, he passed peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family on November 14, 2017 at the age of 66. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 46 years, Dorothy, daughters Kelly and Ashley, and grand-dogs Bennett and Beatrix. Dear brother of Mary "Mimi" Passer, Francis Bauer, and Glenn Rochefort. Affectionately known as "Dink" to his extended family, many nieces and nephews, and close friends. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Marguerite Rochefort and beloved dog, Rocky. Proud union member of Local 46. Avid fan of NASCAR, baseball, and curling. Bernie enjoyed a quiet country life and could often be found tending to his lawn and gardens, tinkering in his workshop, or just relaxing on his porch. Memorial donations can be made to the Orillia SPCA or Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place, and the family invites friends and relatives to gather for a memorial tribute at The Brownstone Cafe, 178 Mississaga St E, Orillia, ON on Sunday, November 26 from 1-3pm.
