DOSKAS, John - Passed away Wednesday March 23, 2016, after a brief stay at Victoria Hospital, London, with loved ones by his side at 85 years of age. John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Doris, his two sons, Trevor (Julie) and Warren Tyson, his daughter, Karen James (Doug), and his six grandchildren, Adam, Michelle, Mark and Nicole Tyson, Alyssa Tyson, and Ethan James. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Teresa and Barbara Doskas, three brothers, Rene, Jim (Ileen) and Tom Doskas, and two brothers-in-law, Doug (Ann) and Ken Godlington. John had been in treatment for cancer that had returned after ten years in remission. Complications from a serious infection proved too much for his system. John was born on March 31, 1930 in Montreal, Quebec. He was one of six children born to James and Riene Doskas. John had a love and ingenious skill for tinkering, forever fixing or improving or inventing conveniences in the workplace and around the home. His laughter was always infectious. His humour was often mischievous. Delighting in making people laugh, he brought a playful spirit to almost everywhere he went. It was clear from his own hardy laugh that he loved to laugh, himself. If John was in the house, everyone knew it. A constant chorus of joyful tunes and made-up melodies accompanied him nearly every place he went, and in almost any project he engaged in. Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be planned in celebration of his life this spring or early summer. Expressions of sympathy and donations (Canadian Cancer Society) would be appreciated and may be made through LONDON CREMATION SERVICES (519) 672-0459 or online at www.londoncremation.com13040105

Sending our sincere sympathy to you and your
family, Doris for your sudden loss of John.
We will miss seeing John making his daily rounds at White Oaks Mall. He would always stop us for a little chat and had such a happy way about him, always smiling & laughing infectiously. He was also a dear neighbour.
Take care, Doris. Our thoughts are with you.
Connie Turner & Jennifer Baker.
