Harold William Tunnicliffe

TUNNICLIFFE, Harold William - Peacefully at Empress Gardens on Monday, January 12, 2015 in his 100th year. Harold, beloved husband of the late Madge Tunnicliffe (nee Rhodes d. 1995). Predeceased by his son Michael in 1982. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Rita (Mills) Tunniclliffe. Predeceased by his sister Joan Larwood and her husband George. Harold was an active member in the business community operating Tunnicliffe Upholstering for over 50 years. He was also very involved with Activity Haven and Mapleridge Seniors Centre. He was a WWII Veteran having served with British 8th Army in the Middle East. Friends are invited to call at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE , 2510 Bensfort Road on Friday, January 16th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m Interment Highland Park Cemetery followed by a reception in the Highland Park Reception Centre. In memory of Harold, and in lieu of flowers, donations to Activity Haven or Mapleridge Seniors Residence would be appreciated by the family. I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Tunnicliffe's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing him from the Activity Haven For Fun Orchestra and Chorus. He was very friendly and Kind to me, especially at the time of my husband's passing.
