Alice (née Beaudette) McLaughlin

MCLAUGHLIN, Alice (née Beaudette) - It is with sadness that we say goodbye, but with joy that Alice has gone to meet her Saviour. Mrs. Alice Elizabeth McLaughlin (formerly of St. Andrew's West) at home at Russell Meadows Retirement Community on Saturday August 11, 2012, at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Felix McLaughlin. Loved mother of John (Jackie), Patrick (Audrey), Margaret Flummerfelt (Peter), Terrence, Elaine Gariepy (Guy), Michael (Linda), Wally, and Ann Jackson (John). Sadly missed by 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Ferdinand and Laura (Leroux); and also her siblings Ellen Valade (late Fabian), Alfred (late Dorothy Bougie), Charles (late Diana Bougie), Leo (late Edna Farlinger), John (late Teresa Holland), Philip (Madeleine Mainville), and Clara Campeau (the late Alcide). She is survived by her brothers George (Terese Fleury) and Edmund Beaudette (late Anastasia McLaughlin) and sister in law's Madeleine Beaudette and Sister Patricia McLaughlin, CSJ, Peterborough and many nieces and nephews. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, and Wednesday 9-10:15 AM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, St. Andrews West, on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Rite of Committal to follow in St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery. If so desired contributions in her memory to the St. Andrews Church Restoration Fund or the Cornwall Township Historical Society, of which she was a founding member. A very special thank you to the staff of the Russell Meadows Retirement Community for the compassionate and loving care throughout Alice's stay. To all the children of Alice McLaughlin, our deepest and sincere sympathy in the loss of a very dear mother and hard working; and caring for her family. Glad to have known the family and will say prayers that they know we care.
