Frances M.L. (Fran) Nunn

NUNN, Frances M.L. (Fran) - At the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, Frances (Fran) Nunn of Simcoe in her 96th year. Wife of the late Leo Nunn (1995). Dear mother of Betty Romanchuk of Richmond Hill, Gordon Nunn and his wife June of Pickering, Richard Nunn and his wife Rosemary of Niagara Falls and Charlene Davidson (Larry Reece) of Delhi. She is survived by her half sister Kay Kelly-Keating (Harry), 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Elizabeth Johnson, brother Gordon Johnson and sister Evelyn Johnson and her half brother Bob Johnson and 2 grandchildren. She was the dear friend of Marion Nunn and many many others. Fran was a member of Trinity Anglican Church and past president of the A.C.W. and the Canterbury Club. She served with the Canadian Women's Army Corp. during the Second World War and was life member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 79 and a former Zone Commander. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME , 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held at TRINITY ANGLICAN CHURCH , Simcoe on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Timothy Dobbin, Rev. Bryan Robertson and Pastor Andrew Nunn officiating. Interment Veteran's Section Oakwood Cemetery. Legion and Auxiliary memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences at .11305271

On behalf of the Montross Family I wish to extend sincere condolences in the loss of your mother Fran.

Fran has been a friend of the family for over 60 years and has shared good times and bad with my family.
