I grew up @ Big Chief Lodge

I am sorry to hear of Jay's passing, I had no idea he was still alive at the time. My family went to help @ Big Chief every summer until Jay's divorse. My dad, George, & Jay spent time together when young but I have no details & think they were 1st cousins. Jay asked my dad for a loan which my dad choose not to do & I never heard from them again. I was nearer to Amy's age. I missed Jay & tried to contact him to let him know my dad did not help his own daughter any money either when in dire need.

Joan, we offer our sincere condolences on the passing of Uncle Jay. We appreciated his and your guidance and counsel when we first campaigned in Orillia in 1992 and more importantly still appreciate your friendship. Jay will be missed by many for his dedication to his community, his sense of humor and his loyalty. Our thoughts are with you.
