Florence Pier

PIER, Florence - At St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre on Friday July 23, 2010. She was 82. She leaves to mourn one sister, Gladys Wood of Cornwall and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ivy (Smith) Pier, 3 sisters Eva Beckstead, Edith Jelley and Phyllis Mitchell. Cremation services are entrusted to the care and direction of the M. JOHN SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall. Committal, in the family lot at Moriatown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Humane Society Ontario S.D.& G. Branch would be appreciated by the family. Heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care received from the nurses and assistants of 3rd floor Kain House - St. Joseph's Continuing Care Centre. 9305604

I was saddened to hear about Aunt Florence's passing. My thoughts are with you Aunt Gladys and family.

To Gladys and Carl:

My deepest sympathies to you both, and yours.

I loved Florence very much. Was very glad to be part of her life.

I felt close to Florence, for she also knew my son, Jamie. She used to live in the apartment above him on First St. We would both have many conversations about him, as well, as many other topics.

I will never forget her, nor you Gladys.

Thank you to both of you for being part of my life. Hugs and kisses.
