FORTIN, Emile - Lieutenant Emile Fortin (Retired), Cornwall Fire Department, at St. Vincent Hospital, Ottawa on Friday July 23, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Veteran of WWII; distinguished as one of the last surviving members of the original brigade of Cornwall Firefighters. Loving husband of 60 years to Wannetta (Reardon) Fortin. Loved father of Anne Marie Zayonc (Rick) of North Vancouver, BC. Sadly missed by his three grandchildren Michael, Daniel, and Amanda. Dear son of the late Eugene and Alice (Rushford) Fortin. Predeceased by his son Michael; brothers Earl, Wilfred, and Lionel; and his sisters Yvonne Currier and Geraldine Rioux. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held only on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
