WESTENDORP, Bruce Edward - With grace, dignity, and peacefulness, at St. Joseph's Hospice on Thursday, July 22, 2010, Bruce went to be with his Lord and Saviour. Bruce was born on September 21, 1961 in Sarnia. Beloved husband of 16 years of Cynthia “Cindy“ Barrette- Westendorp. Loving father to his “little sweetie“ Mickayla, his pride and joy. Son-in- law of Len and Agnes Barrette. Cherished brother of Donald (Judy), Bonnie (Henry), John (Gayle), Mary Anne (Lew), Diane, Andrea, Wenda, Harry (Barbara), and Ray (Lynn). Brother-in-law of Tammy, Lenora and Kim. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Don and Susan Westendorp, sister Sandra and brother-in-law Mike. Special thanks to Dr. Maddison, Dr. Dostaler and the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospice, for all of their care and compassion throughout this difficult time. Bruce was a man with integrity and was very family oriented. His faith was a big part of his life and he had complete devotion and trust that God would guide him on the right path throughout his life. He was loved and will be deeply missed by the two people who meant the world to him - Cindy and Mickayla. Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 23, 2010, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at TEMPLE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1410 Quinn Dr., Sarnia, with visitation prior, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A private family interment will be held in Wyoming Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph's Hospice (cheques only please).
