Robert “Bob” Butler

BUTLER, Robert “Bob” - On Friday January 25, 2019 Robert “Bob” Butler of Otterville passed peacefully at the Tillsonburg Hospital at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend for 53 years to Dianne. He leaves behind his children, Donna and Brent Vasey, and their children Victoria and Mark; Janette and Kevin Haggith, and their children Katlyn (Ryan), Ben Matthew, and Emma; Bret and Marianne, and their children Noah and Ethan. He was predeceased by his sister Elaine Berst (2016), and by his parents Bill and Wilma Butler. While Bob will be greatly missed by his family, fellow card sharks Bob and Catherine, and his community – we know he is in a better place. A place where lunch is endless shrimp, the Montreal Canadiens always win the Stanley Cup, the Detroit Tigers always win the World Series….and the beer is free. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to support the Otterville Community through the Otterville Fire Club, or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital which may be made directly or (by cheque) through WAREING CREMATION SERVICES , 346 Simcoe St., Tillsonburg (519-409-5575). Bob was proud to be a lifelong resident of Otterville and always supported community initiatives. Family and Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life on Saturday February 2, 2019, from 1 to 4 pm, at the Otter Creek Golf Course, 275 James Street in Otterville. www.wareingcremation.ca 13323792

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Bob always had a smile and stopped to talk whenever we met him. He will be missed.

Although we are not able to join you on Saturday.... please know that our thoughts are with you and yours at this sad time.
