Gary Wentworth Clinton

CLINTON, Gary Wentworth - Of Talbotville, passed away at his residence, on Sunday, January 27th, 2019, at the age of 76. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Dawn (Bogart) Clinton and loved father of David Clinton (Dawn), Lori Smith (Dan), Teresa Tales (Rick) and Brad Clinton. Cherished grandfather of Madi, Gracie, Nolan, Trent, Connor, Allie, Kenzie and Tyler. Dear brother of Ron Clinton (Vicki), Betty Marshall, Alan Clinton (Pat), the late Audrey Ambeau and the late Lloyd Clinton. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Gary was born St. Thomas on September 19th, 1942, the son of the late Reginald and Beatrice (King) Clinton. Gary farmed all his life. He was a former member and Past President of the Talbotville Optimist Club and was instrumental in the founding of the Talbotville Optimist Park. He was a former member and past Fire Chief of the Talbotville Fire Department and a Past President of the Elgin Holstein Club. The funeral service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held on Sunday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Knox Presbytarian Church, St. Thomas. Informal visitation at the Church on Sunday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. An open house will be follow at the Masonic Centre of Elgin from 3-5 p.m. Remembrances may be made to Serenity House Hospice, St. Thomas, the Talbotville Fire Department (Southwold Fire Department, Station 2) or charity of choice.
