Martin John “Marty” Van Dinther

VAN DINTHER, Martin John “Marty” - With family by his side and love surrounding him, Martin passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 69. He was born in London Ontario March 30, 1949. He will be forever missed by his beloved Deanna “Dana” Bell of 21 years. Loving father of Mike, Steve (Shannine), Mark (Karen), Laura (Jim), Deb (Kenny), James (Stephanie), and Tina (Rick). Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Makayla, Kristin, Keira, Leevi, Jude, Shane, Paige, James, Jessica, and Shauna. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Mary Thorne (Everette), Ellen Gilroy (Jim), Patty Trethewey (Larry), and brother Peter Van Dinther (Liz), and sister-in-law Joan Boyer. He will also be missed dearly by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Nellie & Peter Van Dinther, his brother Patrick, his grandson Adam Kargus, his brother-in-law Pete Boyer and niece Lori Brear. At Martin’s request, cremation has taken place. Many thanks go to all the doctors, nurses and staff at London Health Sciences Centre and Bluewater Health, for your love and compassion. A Celebration of Martin’s Life will take place at MCCORMACK FUNERAL HOME – STEWART CHAPEL , 254 George Street (at College Avenue) on Friday January 18 from 5-8 pm. If desired, donations to the Sarnia Humane Society would be gratefully appreciated. Marty had a kind heart and a gentle soul. Spread your butterfly wings and fly again.
