Marie Armitage

ARMITAGE, Marie - Marie quietly left to reside in the arms of Jesus on February 19, 2018. Marie was in her 87th year. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard and her son Jim. Marie was the loving Mother of Pat Henderson of Lindsay, Barbara Hiebert (Herb) of St. Catharines and David Armitage (Denise) of New Brunswick. She will be greatly missed by her Grandchildren - Sean Carnegie, Jennifer Carnegie, Stephanie Armitage, Alysha Armitage (Yves Cormier), Jaime Lynn (David) Rowe, Austin Armitage and Jesse Armitage. She also had Great Grandchildren that she was so proud of - Ashley and Brooke Rowe, Mathieu Armitage and Dominic Cormier. A service of Christian Burial will take place on February 26 at 2 p.m. with visitation prior to the service at 1:00-2:00. This will be held at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME , 2000 Merrittville Highway, Thorold. Marie lived at the Linhaven Nursing Home for the past 14 years. We would like to thank the staff of the Home for the wonderful love and care that she received while living there. So sorry to hear of your loss. I met Marie when my Mother, Homera, moved into Linhaven and shared a room for almost 4 years. Marie quickly took mom under her wing and made this adjustment easier for both my mother and me. I always knew that Marie was looking out for her. She was always very sweet and kind, not only to Mom, but to my family when we came to visit. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time
