I just found out about Dr. Vallely's passing.

Dr. Valley saved my life February 1985. I was only 22 years old when I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer, Rhabdomiosarcoma (Stage 3.5)

I kept in touch with Dr. Vallely, updating him every 10 years by e-mail. It was important for me to let him know how sincerely thankful I was to be alive. I last chatted (via e-mail) with Dr. Vallely, January 2016.

He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Thank you Jeff, for your kindness and empathy when we lost our son.

The deep genuineness and sincerity said it all, my friend.

Very sad, but look after us.

I regret that I was out of town on the days of the visitation and funeral. As a fellow surgeon at St Joes, John was always positive, calm, a great surgeon and a valued resource in the field of medical ethics. He was very devoted to his patients. Several people have referred to his kindness which was evident from the first time one met him. He was simply a "good guy" and will be missed.
Life moments..I'm sure yours was full of amazing ones.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of John. I knew him many years ago when we were in a faith group together at St. plus X. I will remember him firstly for his kindness and secondly for his deep faith and devotion to the church. He will be greatly missed.
