Audrey Florence (née Armstrong) Detheridge

DETHERIDGE, Audrey Florence (née Armstrong) - In her 95th year, Audrey went peacefully to meet her Lord and Saviour on Friday September 29th at 5:00AM. Audrey served as a private during the Second World War for the Canadian Women's Army Corp, where she met her late husband Kel. She was the beloved mother of Linda Leonetti (late Fred), Pat Detheridge, Heather Detheridge and Kelly Detheridge (Kathy). She will be missed dearly by her brother, Doug, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Over the years, she carried many roles including sewing instructor, seamstress and Sunday school teacher. Audrey operated her home with an "open door" policy, welcoming anyone at any time. For 40 years she even conducted a bible study out of her house. Audrey was a prayer warrior and mentor for many people in the church. She had a strong belief in God's healing power and supported many missions fields. She will be remembered with love by many for her role as a wife, mother, homemaker, educator, veteran and friend. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10th from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME , 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11th at New Life Pentecostal Assembly, 85 Clench Ave, Brantford at 11 a.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Steadman Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family. www.dennistoll.ca13215351

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. She was a precious soul whom we always loved to chat with at church. We are in Alberta at the moment, presenting the drama, so will be unable to attend the funeral.

Our love and prayers are extended to the family.

May you feel Gods comforting arms surround you in the days to come.

Fondly Remembered and never Forgotten.

Linda, Pat, Kelly and Heather. I'm so sorry for your loss. You mother was as steadfast as anyone could be, and I always admired her and your father for just being real. They don't make them like that anymore. Thank you for coming to my fathers visitation, it was nice to see Linda and Heather, and if I was not now in BC, I would definitely come too. Just know, I am thinking about you now in your time of grief. Hugs and Prayers and God Bless you all.

Loved your mom. You couldn’t talk to her without going away encouraged. She was faithful to the end, and had a strong faith in her Lord. We need more like her. I appreciated her boldness. Hugs to all you kids. Ingrid
