Joseph Killoran

KILLORAN, Joseph - It is with saddened hearts that the family of Joseph Killoran announce his passing on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at his home, at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Linda for 37 years. Loving father of Jeff, Laura (Matthew Figas) and Kelly. Cherished son of Jean and the late John Killoran. Dear brother of Janis (the late Pete) Jennings. Joe will be missed by his niece Melissa Jennings, nephew Bill (Kelly) Jennings and his family; sister-in-law Sue Jones and her daughter Whitney. Predeceased by his brother Jim Killoran and his in-laws George and Margaret Hill. Joe worked at Imperial Oil for almost 40 years. He will be remembered as an avid sports fan. Joe played hockey and football for many years, and loved to watch his beloved Leafs and never missed a game. He was very supportive of his children's athletics, always taking an active role. Joe valued his many close friends, and felt lucky that most of them were lifelong friendships. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME , 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Smith Funeral Home. A private interment will take place in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph's Hospice or the Hong Kong Veteran's Association (cheques only at the funeral home please). Barbara and I were so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. We have both known him for many years and while not frequently spending time together, he was a warm and generous spirit, kind and very loyal and loving to his family and friends.
