Simon Edward Kotsch

KOTSCH, Simon Edward - It's with great sadness we announce the passing of Simon at Juravinski Hospital Hamilton, on Thursday, march 23, 2017 at the age of 82. Beloved husband and best friend to Jackie (De Boer). Loving father of Simone Pamela Kotsch, Julie (Jeff) Holson, Kate (Ken) Beaul, Michael (Vicky) Bauer. Grandfather to Ashley (Ryan) McConnaughey, Taylor (Steven) Heart, Michael (Vicky) Bauer, Zabrina (JR) Richards, Zachary (Jenn) Beaul, Richard (Lindsey) Bauer, Jonathan Bauer, Sarah Holson and multiple great grandchildren. Survived by sister Katherine (David) Dicks, Sophie (Arnold) Sloat and predeceased by brother Robert Ervin Kotsch. Brother-in-laws Ralph (Jean) DeBoer and Jerry DeBoer, Donald Kowtaluk, Gerald Kowtaluk and Robert Kowtaluk. Simon was the founder and curator of The Outpost and the Army Surplus store, and local advocate and entrepreneur. After retiring Simon devoted himself to his art and enjoyed many years of metal work sculpting. Cremation has taken place and private family burial will be held at a later date. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Simon's honor to the Norfolk Art Centre or the Simcoe and District Humane Society. Very sorry to hear of Simon's passing. I always enjoyed our visits he was such a wonderful, Kind, loving person. He will surely be missed. Hugs to all the family.
