Alan Keith Lynch

LYNCH, Alan Keith - June 3, 1930 - December 17, 2016 Alan Keith Lynch, after living a long and fulfilling life passed away peacefully on December 17th. Alan, in his 86th year is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rhoda Joyce (ne Irwin). Alan was father to five children, Jack, Bob, Debbie, Christine and Karen. He was father-in-law to Michael (predeceased), Albert, Susan, Craig and Lynda. He was grandfather and great-grandfather to many. Alan and loving wife Joyce enjoyed many wonderful hours together decorating their beautiful home and tending to an amazing garden. Alan spent his full work life of 41 years with Loblaw food stores working his way up the corporate ladder to vice president of meat operations. Upon retirement his days were spent walking his little buddy Quincy, tending to the garden and home, day trips with Mom, watching his grandchildren play sports and cleaning and waxing his pride and joys, his many spotless " always black" cars and trucks. The Lynch family would like to thank the wonderful staff in the Cardiac and Stroke recovery units at Royal Victoria Hospital and those fantastic volunteers and staff at Simcoe Hospice. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please consider a donation in Alan's name to Hospice Simcoe or Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. Cremation entrusted to MARSHALL W. I have had the Pleasure of knowing dear AL,Joyce,and Quincy!for the past 9yrs as a neighbour,and friend!I really enjoyed my daily visits talking about the Blue Jays and the Maple Leafs,as he walked his dear companion Quincy!Al loved talking Sports!and about his Loved Family!! I will miss my Friend!Rest in Peace Dear Al!Rest in Peace!

Our hearts go out to Joyce, Quincy and family. We have been blessed to have a wonderful man as our neighbour! He shared many gardening tips and was known for The Best Lawn on the street!! May his wonderful memories remain in your hearts and give comfort always.

Bob, Jackie really sorry to learn of your dad's passing. I will always remember how he (and your mom) always supported everyone during our minor hockey days back in the 60s. My condolences to the entire family. Colin
