THOMAS E. HAGGARTY THOMAS E. HAGGARTY, age 74, of Brights Grove, Ontario died August 22, 2004 in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness surrounded by his family. He was born June 15, 1930 in Sarnia. He married Geraldine Boyd on February 2, 1952 in Sarnia. Tom was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Petrolia. He owned and operated Petrolia Collision for many years. Together with his brother they operated a car dealership in Akron, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Geraldine of Brights Grove, daughter Bonnie Ted Perryman of Corunna, son Thomas G. friend Ethel Haggarty of Corunna, daughter Brenda Jim Hardy of Brights Grove, his mother, Thelma Haggarty of Sarnia, grandchildren Andrew Szmiett, Adam Jessica Szmiett, and Alison Mike Hutchinson, and Bill and Teryl Haggarty all of Sarnia, two great-granddaughters, Ava Pearl Szmiett and Charisma Hutchinson both of Sarnia, sister Merial Jim Loosemore of Point Edward, 2 brothers, Jim Doreen Haggarty of Markdale and Dale Karen Haggarty of Akron, Ohio, sister, Doreen Jim McCallum of Sarnia, step-sister, Edith Hyatt of Petrolia, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nellie Haggarty of Sarnia, Grace Boyd of Point Edward, Bob Boyd of Alvinston, Clayton Marlene Boyd of Point Edward, Bev Carol Boyd of Petrolia, Grant friend Carol Boyd of Sarnia, Joyce Hank Vanderzwart of Petrolia, Peggy Boyd of London, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George, a brother, Raymond and brothers-in-law, Bill, and George Boyd, sister-in-law Joyce Boyd and mother-in-law and father-in-law Evla and Bill Boyd. Cremation has taken place, and a service will be held at a later time. Memorials may be made in Tom's memory to the Sarnia Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
