I'm a year late, but I've just discovered Dave had become a silent key last year. Allison and I visited the Flaritys several times, and one daughter has graced our backyard on at least one occasion.

I've known Dave for decades, first encountering him on the National Traffic System traffic nets, later using his travel expertise, and spending time on a few occasions in the "shack".

We'll all miss him, and please pass on belated condolences to all. Sincerely, Mike and Allison

Just heard of David's passing, I'm recalling the few times I saw him and how congenial and smiling he was, always remembering me,-- definitely a people person. My condolences to my friend John and to David's family.

Dave's obituary says he "took great pleasure in watching the numerous trees he planted grow". I am one of those trees. Dave taught the class I attended as a teenager anxiously waiting for the day when I would be old enough to take the exam to obtain my amateur radio licence which I did thanks to Dave. That led to a career in radiocommunications both within Canada and internationally.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Reny and with the entire family.
