Percy Alvin Smith

SMITH, Percy Alvin - In his 65th year of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully after a long battle of cancer, with his loving wife by his side. Percy is survived by his wife Francine Smith (Letteau), daughters Rhonda (Paul) Smith-Noble of Kitchener, Christina Smith of Owen Sound, step sons Paul Fenwick, Rob Fenwick of Stratford, Robert (Jessica Marie) Tomberlin of London, Danny Plant of Kemble and Reuben Plant of Owen Sound, sisters Nancy Noble, Janice (Bob) Cleaver, brothers Mark (Sandy) Smith, Rick (Sherry) Smith of Owen Sound and Dan (Laurie) Smith of Dorchester, brothers-in-law Richard Caves of London, Bayne (Jean) Letteau and sister-in-law Elaine (Rod) Lippert of Teeswater, grandchildren Holden, Klyer, Klowi, Daniel, Sakura, many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceded in death his parents Fred and Mable Smith, sister Sharron Caves, brother Lindsay Smith and brother-in-law Ralph Noble. Percy loved cars and worked as a licensed mechanic for many years. He loved to watch Nascar, playing games with his grandkids and spending time with his family. A special thank you to the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce in Owen Sound for their loving care and support. Memorial service to celebrate Percy's life will be held at the Trinity Christian Church/School 1735 4th Avenue West Owen Sound at a later date. Percy and I used to cross paths all the time but when we moved from Owen Sound that became an infrequent thing.We used to talk on the radio to each other just about every morning and night.Randy and I are sorry for your loss Francine.

I remember Percy with great fondness.He was a member of our youth group in the sixties and seventies and he was a wonderful young man. I sorrow with you .May god bless you as you carry on without him.My husband and I send you our condolences.
