Bruce Craig Wilson

WILSON, Bruce Craig - (1947-2014) passed away much too soon Monday, August 11, 2014. Beloved son of the late Marion Ward and Fred Wilson, Bruce leaves behind wife/friend Martha (Rudden), two amazing children, Emily and James Rudden, the McLarnon clan in Guelph, brother Gary, and a vast array of nieces, nephews, in-laws, outlaws and friends. Bruce will be forever remembered for his earnest desire to make the world a better place, the energy and expertise he gave to causes great and small, his love of the natural world (and a good pun), and for daring to dream a really big dream. We know he is giving Einstein an earful already. Donations to the Miller Museum of Geology at Queen's, the Little Cataraqui Conservation Area or the Idle No More campaign would be appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Taylor, Dr. Varley and Dr. Wijeratne, and the caring staff on Kidd 7 and Connell 9. A celebration of Bruce's life will take place at a later date.12824489

So sorry to hear of Bruce's passing recently; I have warm memories of evenings in Red Lake in the '80's and '90's being both challenged and entertained by Bruce's enthusiasm for geology, life and living. Rest well Bruce.

Goodbye, Bruce, we former friends, neighbours, and classmates from Toronto Island and the Island Public School remember with fondness many of the enjoyable times we spent together on that special piece of this planet. Our antics and secrets will live on in our minds and bring us solace. So glad to have reconnected with you and Peter Lye at the reunion in 2008---I am sure that occasion is one which we all remembered with immense pleasure. Deepest condolences to Martha and your kids.
