GALLINGER, Phyllis Marjorie - In her 101st year Phyllis Gallinger died peacefully at Providence Manor in Kingston, ON. She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Suzannah Goode, her husband Lloyd D. Gallinger (1975), her daughter Elizabeth Burrows (1997) and her grandson Christian Bogstad (2010). She is survived by her daughter Patricia Bogstad, her grand-children Eric Bogstad (Terrence), Brent Burrows, Lisa Burrows and her great-grandsons Brandon and Bryson Burrows. She is also survived by her niece Kathryn McLaughlin and nephews Milton (Fran) Gallinger, and Alan (Karen) McCanse. Phyllis was born in North Gower and lived most of her life in Cornwall ON. She was the family’s resident historian and could regale us for hours with tales of the Ottawa Valley and the Cornwall region. She was a great lover of nature, had a wide circle of friends and volunteered in a number of organizations. Sincere thanks to all the personnel at Providence Manor who cared for Phyllis with such love, attention and kindness. A service in celebration of Phyllis' life will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Portsmouth at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 29 with the Reverend Canon Christopher Doering officiating. Friends will be received prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30. A reception will follow. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Cornwall, Ontario at 2:00 p.m. on November 5, the Venerable Archdeacon Frank Kirby officiating. A reception will follow in Trinity Church parish hall. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations in Phyllis' memory can be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation and directed to Providence Manor.12609081
