John Corning Sinclair

SINCLAIR, John Corning - (LCol Ret'd), CD, P.Eng. - In his 80th year. Beloved husband of Gwen, loving father to John Jr. and Wendy (Don), adored grandpa of Emma, Abby and Sean. After graduating from Acadia University he went on to have careers as a land surveyor, mapper, civil engineer, soldier, teacher and as an Ontario Hydro Project Manager. In retirement he was an avid chef, cartoonist, pen and ink artist, coordinator and author of a book on Survey and Mapping, pet lover, and an active member of the NOTL community. JC was an extraordinary human being; charismatic, generous, hard working, honourable, loyal and above all else loving and kind. Cremation has taken place. John's family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME 415 Regent Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Sunday February 17th from 2-4 p.m. A private interment will be held at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Greater Niagara General Hospital Emergency Room or Red Cross Care Partners would be appreciated by the family. I just learned of John's passing. We are out of the country for a few weeks but will think of you every day and we'll talk when we get home. So surprised to hear the news. Stay strong. I know you will.
