Mary E. (nee Draper) Becker

BECKER, Mary E. (nee Draper) - (1931- 2013) Peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Loving mother of Catherine (Stephen Butters) and Susan Becker. Cherished grandma to Devon, Meagan and Logan Butters. She is predeceased by her husband Tod and her children Mary Christine and Paul. Mary's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Connell 10, KGH, especially Julia Davis and Janeta Kobes for their compassionate care. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, ON. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 11:00 am. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Hearing Society in Mary's memory. 12249727

To the family,

I was very sad to hear only today that Mary had passed away. I was her cleaning lady for the past 8 years. Mary was more than an employer, she was also a dear friend of mine. I am sorry Mary,I didn't know you were ill and then passed ,or I would have visited you. Please know i appreciated all your good advice when my mom passed away, and know you will be missed very much. Rest in peace, love Sue.

I am so very sorry I cannot come to Mary's funeral service. The snow out here is just too deep.

I'll miss Mary; she was always so appreciative of what the Hard of Hearing Club was doing. She herself was such an advocate for people with hearing loss.

She was so courageous, an example for us all.
