Carol Lynn (Bourne) Ranson

RANSON, Carol Lynn (Bourne) - It is with profound sadness that the Ranson and Bourne families announce the passing of Carol Ranson (nee Bourne) at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Carol lost her short but courageous battle with cancer on January 30, 2013 just four days before her 67th. birthday. Loving mother of Brent and Todd (Wendy) Ranson and proud grandmother of Bailey and Tyler all of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Dear sister of Terry (Shelley) Bourne of Exeter, Connie (George) Kapp of Corunna, Bill (Darlene) Bourne of Strathroy, Linda (Bill) Farquhar of Exeter, Larry Bourne of Zurich and Donna (Rob) Lee of St. Columban, Ontario. Carol was predeceased by her mother Florence (McCallum) Bourne (1959) and her father L.E. Mike Bourne (1999). Carol grew up and attended school in Strathroy and completed her education in Sarnia graduating as an X- ray Technologist. She moved with her family to the USA in 1968 and lived and worked in various locations until settling in Jacksonville 7 years ago to be near her two sons and grandchildren. Carol was a loving and devoted mother and worked tirelessly for many years to support her family. She was also fun-loving and could always be counted on to be the life of the party. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and by all who knew her. As Carol wished, cremation has taken place and a family memorial service is being held in Jacksonville, Florida. Interment of ashes at the Strathroy Cemetery will occur at a later date. Support for the Cancer Society and for all “stop smoking” campaigns would be appreciated by Carol's family. On-line condolences can be forwarded through Terry at tlb@cabletv.on.ca 12246661
