Gerald Moseley-Williams

MOSELEY-WILLIAMS, Gerald - Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre surrounded by members of his family, on Monday, January 28th, 2013. Gerald was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Anne “Betty“ (nee O'Rourke), he was 87 years old. Dearly loved father of Kelly (Venise) and their family Daniel (Candace), Alexis, Laura; Patrick (Debbie) and their family Brendan, Aaron (Tamara), Lauren and great grandson Jayson; Bernard (Sharon) and their family Kate, Erin, John Henry; Bradley (Stuart) and their family Benjamin, Michael; Dennis (Sherri) and their family Ella and Mia. Dear brother of Barbara Reid and Elizabeth Wiegerinck. He was predeceased by his parents Thurston and Mabel Moseley-Williams and by his siblings Mary Barrett, Derry, Ted and Walter (killed while serving during WWII). He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Gerald served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII. He and Betty were married at St. Rita's Roman Catholic Church on March 17th, 1956. Gerald worked as a shoe salesman and then travelled the North as a Commercial Shoe Broker for 50 years, he enjoyed every year of his career. He was an active member of the Kinsman Club in North Bay, the Association of Canadian Travellers, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #23 and the #406 Wing Alliance. He had a good life and had many friends. His five sons considered him their best friend. To them, he sang a little and whistled a lot. Visitation for Gerald will be held at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 2nd, from 12 noon until time for a Memorial Service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment of ashes will take place later at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired donations to the Cassellholme Charitable Foundation or the North Bay Regional Health Center Foundation (cheques only). So sorry to hear of Geralds passing ,just loved him I am a former PSW from Cassellholme many times when I was having a hard day this man brightened mine,so sweet beautiful soul ,gentle giant.Rest in peace Gerald

Betty our thoughts are with you. At Royal York with Mary, Gerald and I checking out everyones shoes in lobby, he knew the price and what they did for a living. He was a good helper shopping for angel wings, we sure got a lot of laughs in the store. He sure loved his bride.We know he will be missed by all the family

Dear Betty,

Jane just told me that Gerald had died on the 28th of January. It was also my grandson third birthday. Imust tell Ivanka and Paddi. They havevtwo boys now and the younger ome, Lochlan,was 4 months on the 29 of January.

I'm so sorry for you. Gerald was always so up beat and happy.

You are going to miss him a lot. But you have a promise that you will see him again!

Betty, I had many chuckles with Gerald in the office, a great sense of humor and still have a framed oriental fabric he bought for me on one of your adventures. I am sorry to hear of his passing. Doctor David Haist and Terri Haist
