MARTIN, Everett “Pep“ Franklin - Proudly served Canada in WWII, Lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Durham Branch 308, worked for the Woodstock and Tillsonburg OPP and retired on May 27, 1977 to hobby farming in the Holstein area for 40 years, passed away peacefully with all family members at his side at Royal Terrace Nursing Home on January 6, 2013 in his 98th year. Survived by his wife of 71 years, May Louise (nee Handcock). Father of Joan Martin and her very close and dear friend Shirley Carpenter, Randy and his partner Louise Connelly, and Dennis Martin and his wife Esther. Grandfather of Dawn (Chris), Craig (Shannon), Jennifer (Scott) and Jason (Kim). Great-grandfather of Gordie, Jake, Wylie, Caden, Sydney, Emma, Elly, Dylan, Ryan. Also survived by his half- sister Lois McIntosh and her husband Ross, several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Predeceased by siblings Alice Martin, Ella Francis and Merv Martin. On Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Amos Dromore Presbyterian Church, Dromore, Ont., there will be a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at which time a Funeral Service will be conducted followed by a reception in the church hall. On Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the ANDREW L. HODGES FUNERAL HOME, 47 Wellington St. S., there will be a visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed by interment in the St. Marys Cemetery.
