Nathan Roy Joseph Konarek

KONAREK, Nathan Roy Joseph - The Konarek family sadly announces Nathan's unexpected death on Sunday January 6, 2013, at the age of 17. Nathan was the dearly loved son of Peter and Laurie Konarek (nee Smith), and the cherished grandson of Marian & Roy Smith, all of North Bay, and Stella Konarek of Sudbury. Predeceased by his grandparents Barbara & Joe Konarek, he will be sadly missed by his aunts and uncles, Kim Deschene (Rick) of Welland, Michael Smith (Lindy) of Kitchener, Suzanne Hawley (Jeff) of B.C., David Konarek (Gayle) of Toronto and Paul Konarek (April) of Sudbury. Nathan enjoyed time in the out of doors and being with his friends. He loved his family and extended family and will be great missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Friends may call at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9pm. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held in Omond United Church on Friday January 11 at 1:30pm. As you are laid to rest today Nathan I hope you and your family know that you were very much loved and will be missed forever by the young men and women whom you grew up with, went to school with, hung out with...the kids who have said they loved your sense of humor and your style. I only spoke to you a couple times on the phone and you were very polite, but I know that my son really valued your friendship, and that your passing has been very hard for him.Our hearts go out to your parents!

I would like to send my dearest condolences to the Konarek family for losing such a great son. I really enjoyed and guess even took for granted every time we hung out or talked about the future. You were way too young Nathan and desereved a much longer life. You were one of the most trustworthy people I knew, very loyal and reapectful when gretting family or other friends. You really were a great friend Nathan, wish i could say bye just one more time...
