ROSEN, Irving - Passed away at his home in Kingston on Sunday, December 2nd, 2012. He is survived by his loving family: his wife Regina (Gini) Rosen; son Gregg (Marla); daughter Andrea (Simrel), Charles (Lauren); and grandchildren Sammi, Cody, Alexis, Stella, Sydney, and Oscar. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the Beth Israel Synagogue, 116 Centre Street, followed by interment at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Sydenham Road. After cemetery services, guests are invited back to the Rosen home at 42 Copperfield Drive. Shiva/Visitation will follow. Services will be held at the Rosen family home as follows: Tuesday, Dec 4, 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec 5, 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec 6, 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Friday, Dec 7, 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Beth Israel Synagogue Saturday, Dec 8, morning at home and evening Services will be at Beth Israel Synagogue Sunday, Dec 9, morning services will be at 42 Copperfield Drive at 9:00 a.m. The family will welcome visitors at the Rosen residence 42 Copperfield Drive, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. (only) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; and Sunday Dec. 9, from 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. At that time we will end Shiva. He was deservedly loved, adored, respected and honoured and will be missed by many in every aspect of the community. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to your choice of the following: Beth Israel Synagogue; Community Foundation for Kingston & Area - Regina Rosen Food First Fund; The Irving and Regina Rosen Lecture Series at Queen's University. We feel honoured to have known Irving. Brian and I still talk about our strong respect and admiration for Irving. What a wise and classy man!!. He was one of those really pivotal people that you meet in life and never forget. We have thought of him often and the impact his mentoring has had on us and wanted to make sure we sent our sincerest condolences at this difficult time. He carries a special place in our hearts and always will. Sincere sympathy to all of the Rosen family.

Irving was a pillar in our community and we shall all be grateful for his wonderful philanthrophy that has benefitted so many organizations and people. In the future when we talk of Kingston people who really made a difference the name of Irving Rosen will stand in a prominent position in our hearts and minds. Bless his family at this challenging time.
