It is with heavy hearts and much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend. Eileen Crowley passed away suddenly at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 23, 2012. She was born on October 28, 1929 in Kenora and was eighty three years old. Eileen will be greatly missed by her husband Charlie of fifty four years; her daughter Shelley James of Winnipeg, MB; sons Dennis Simoneau (June) of Kenora and Dean Crowley of Lac Lu; and her grandchildren: Ginette Simoneau, Shelley Calder, Jackie and Bobby Turner. She also leaves her sister Julie Primrose, brothers-in-law Jim Crowley (Joyce) and Bob Crowley (Karen), and sister-in-law Madeline (Maddy) Gilbertson. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her parents Vina and Carl Erickson, her grandsons Gary and Darrin James, brother Allen and brother-in-law Roy Primrose. Eileen was an excellent and dedicated home maker. She was very artistic, doing needle work and fashioning driftwood into works of art. She was also an excellent cook and baker. Everyone who visited her was made to feel at home, always entertained with lively conversation while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and the scrumptious goodies she served with it. We will all truly miss her. Immediate cremation has taken place. At Eileen's request, there will be no service. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
