Memories of a fellow Avanti Owner
Posted by Mike Emmerich (CAOA Member) On Tuesday, August 7, 2012
It was with great sadness I learned of the untimely passing of Ron while in South Bend Indiana attending a Studebaker Avanti convention. I had the pleasure of meeting with Ron on several occasions most recently at Badenoch. I often heard the stories of his “adventure” of building an Avanti from scratch and looked forward to the day when I could see his beaming face behind the wheel.

On behalf of the Canadian Avanti Owners Association I offer our sincere condolences from his extended family.

Dear Ruth, Richard and Richelle,

Egon and I were so sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He was a lovely man and a wonderful father. Our thoughts are with you.

Though tears fall from our eyes like rain

and our hearts seem not to beat

Our memories help erase the pain

whenever, dear friends, we meet.

You made us laugh

you made us smile

A friend forever

not just awhile

When we gather

our stories we'll tell

Oh dear, dear friend

we'll remember you well.

you will always be missed

As we gather to hug

and blow you a kiss.
