Emma Marilyn (Feb 16th, 1992 Purdie

PURDIE, Emma Marilyn (Feb 16th, 1992 - July 13th, 2012) - We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden and tragic death of Emma (our Bame) on Friday July 13th. Adored and much loved daughter of Barb and Bryan, cherished sister of bro bear Mitch, beloved granddaughter of John and Marilyn Marsh. Emma leaves to mourn many aunts, uncles, cousins and a circle of close friends who have been a constant source of joy to her. Emma lived more in her 20 years than many of us live in a lifetime. Her love of life and zest for all things fun will be dearly missed. Emma's passion for dance led her onto the stage first with Move 'N' Groove and then at Premiere Studio of Dance. Emma carried her love of dance to a new level through the Integrated Arts Program at PCVS, where she excelled in many theatrical productions. A final year highlight was participating in 'Walk the Walk' in California where Emma and friends showcased PCVS and Canada through dance and song taking home second prize. Emma had just completed her first year at Queen's University and had been accepted to major in Political Science. Emma was active in Queen's life, auditioning for and making the Queen's Dance Pak and performing in Queen's Vogue production, an annual fundraiser for local charities. Bame, your legacy is great and we love you to bits. A private family service will be held. A celebration of life for our dear Emma will take place at a later date with details to follow. 11550462

I cared for Emma and Mitch, many yrs ago. It was my priveledge to know Emma as a small child. Emma was a very bright,sweet and beautiful child. I am not surprised she grew to be even brighterand more beautiful as a young woman. I would like to try to express to Emma's family my heartfelt,sympathy. I will pray for each of you. I will never forget your beautiful Emma.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the friends, family, and loved ones of Emma. I have not seen her in years, as we attended different high schools, but we were classmates in the 7th and 8th grades. I remember her as a talented actress and dancer, a beautiful girl, and a popular friend. I didn't know her well, but I was fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, Emma.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of your tragedy in the loss of Emma, so young, beautiful, talented and loved.  Terry, Jared, Alyssa and I are currently in Europe on a vacation we have dreamed of doing as a family.  Your news has made our time together on this vacation very poignant.  We never know what is around the next corner in life;  we must never take a moment with our loved ones for granted.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Sandi and family

This family met Emma when she started school at North Cavan. She was very entertaining, vibrant and funny as a little girl. We have some great pictures and memories of Emma. Rest in peace Sweetie.
