Evelyn McNaughton

McNAUGHTON, Evelyn - At Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig Ont., on Thursday March 15, 2012. Evelyn Christina (Stewart) McNaughton formerly of Parkhill in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon McNaughton (1983). Dear mother of Robert (Bob) McNaughton and his wife Gail of St.Thomas; Jean Kyle and her husband Jack of Lindsay and Cheryl Burney and her husband Ian of Woodville; also loved by six grandchildren; Rob Kyle and his wife Sarah and their daughter Penny a great grandchild, Geoffrey Kyle and his wife Lori, and Stephanie Ward and her husband Jason; Crystal, Erin and Allison Burney. Sister of Helen Thompson of Toronto. Predeceased by her brother John A. Stewart (1991). Evelyn taught High School in Palmerston, Listowel and twenty years at North Middlesex in Parkhill. Evelyn was a world traveler, having visited 120 countries and enjoyed showing her slides to groups. Evelyn volunteered for several organizations, especially VON and HOMME. As a member of the Ailsa Craig Presbyterian Church, she recorded and filed much church history. Visitation will be held at the T. STEPHENSON & SON FUNERAL HOME , Ailsa Craig Ont. on Sunday March 18, 2012 from 2 pm to 4 pm only. Funeral service will be held at the Ailsa Craig Recreation Centre on Monday March 19, 2012 at 1:00m with Rev. David Friesen- Waldner officiating. Interment to follow in Nairn Cemetery. Memorial donations to the VON Senior Support Program or the charity of your choice in memory of Evelyn would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Evelyn 11144337

To Evelyn's family. Evelyn was my commercial teacher and guidance teach in 1962. She never failed to provide me with references for many years as I moved from City to City and needed to change jobs. Her guidance and help assisted me in becoming successful in a business career. I have never forgotten what she did for me. You have my deepest sympathies in the loss of your mother.

We are in FL and I read the obits in the London Free Press and Sarnia Observer daily becuase we used to live in Lambton County. I am sorry, Jean, to read of your mother's death. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.

My sympathy to you, the family. It was my privilege to be Evelyn's minister for ten years in Ailsa Craig. Evelyn was an interesting lady and had so much to tell of her many trips.
