Dorothea SCULLY

SCULLY, Dorothea Mary Rose "Dot" ne Greening Died peacefully at home on September 21, 2002 at the age of 90 years, surrounded by loving family and friends. Dot was born in Halifax in 1911 and moved to Ontario as a child. She graduated from St. Michaels College, University of Toronto, and taught school in Port Arthur, where she met and married husband Basil. They moved to Sudbury in 1953, and Dot continued to teach at Nickel District and Lockerby Composite, where she taught Latin and was the school librarian until her retirement in 1972. Dot was a devout Christian and a great sign of faith to her family and friends. She loved cooking, reading and playing bridge, and was a generous person who helped many others on her lifes journey. She passed into the next life with joy and peace, at the end of a life well-lived. Beloved daughter of William Greening and Isobel Flack, both predeceased. Sadly missed by husband Basil, daughters Sheila Ethier and Brenda Laframboise husband Alan, nephew Lawrence Greening wife Doris of Toronto, sister Joan Dyer of Thunder Bay, brothers Tom wife Frances of California and John wife Marlene of Toronto, and sister-in-law Joan Asselin husband Omer. Dear grandmother of James fiance Marie, Alyson, Jonathan, and Rosalyn. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at THE JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. Patricks Church, 39 Walford Rd., Sudbury Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at 10 am. Interment in the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Network North Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Tuesday. 0
