Kevin “Doc“ Holliday

HOLLIDAY, Kevin “Doc“ - Passed away on December 11, 2011 at Hospice Simcoe after a courageous but brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his family and friends. Kevin is survived by his beloved children, Mack, Decker and Katie, his mother Claire, brother Cam, loving sister Kristen and nephews Drew and Cole. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and the most wonderful group of friends anyone could ever wish for. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at the Mapleview Community Church, 300 Mapleview Dr. W., Barrie, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, the family request any memorial donations be made to Hospice Simcoe at 336 Penetanguishine Rd., R.R. #1, Barrie, Ontario L4M 7C2. 10881300

Dear Claire, Cam, Kris and families,

It was a huge loss to you and to this community to lose Bruce, no matter what his age. I for one did not have enough time with him.

To lose someone this young is worse than tragedy. I hope that you can dwell on his time with you here and be at peace now, as he is.

Kevin and I were best of friends from the age of 7 through 18. We were teammates in hockey and baseball, winning the OASA Ontario Championship in 1974.

Kevin and his family were very gracious hosts to me and my family for many years.
