BERTRAM, Barry Roger - (Partner, Bertram Brothers Ltd.) - Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday July 17, 2011 at the age of 70. Barry was an active businessman, retailer, and builder in the community. A keen Shriner, he was involved with the local Sheba Shrine Circus Unit. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his wife Sandra (née Bakogeorge) Bertram and his 3 children: Susan Bertram and Root Gorelick of Ottawa, Lisa Bertram and Karrie Eardley-Bertram of Barrie, and Jennifer and Chris Dancey of Barrie. He was also the proud grandfather of Jory, Willow, Hunter, Jack and Morgan. Barry was pre-deceased by his father and mother Ross and Margaret (née Jory) Bertram and father-in-law Christopher Bakogeorge. He is survived by his mother-in-law Madeline (née Preston) Bakogeorge and his siblings (by both birth and marriage) Edward (Ted) Bertram and Judy Brundage, Sharon and Scott Morris, Karen and Fred Broder, Joanne and Ken Herbert, Linda and Gerard McKinnon, Peter Bakogeorge and Christine Mushka, and Michael and Pat Bakogeorge. A celebration of life open-house will be held for friends and family at the Southshore Community Centre, 205 Lakeshore Drive in Barrie on Tuesday July 26 from 3:00 - 5:00pm. A private family graveside service has been held at Dalston United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to ADAMS FUNERAL HOME 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (705) 728-4344.
