Sharon Lee Myren It is with deep sorrow that the family of Sharon Lee Myren announces the sudden passing of our beloved sister, aunt and great aunt, Sunday, December 19th, 2010 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her brother Harvey, mother Dorothy, father Gordon and best friend Lori McKay. She is survived by her two brothers Bruce (Reta) of Regina Saskatchewan and Wayne (Mary) of Keewatin; six nieces & nephews: Curtis (Raya), Tracy (Jason), Travis (Vienna), Jeffrey, Gord, Donna (Pete), as well as several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Sharon was born in Keewatin, in her early years was involved with Ark Industries as well as Special Olympics that she enjoyed immensely. Sharon enjoyed babysitting along side with her mother, especially her own nieces, nephews, close friends and neighbours. She embraced herself with many ceramic and craft classes where she made many gifts for family and friends. Sharon was an avid Elks Member along side of her mother and father. She was involved with People First Organization, which Russell Havill was very much involved in and took Sharon under his wing. They enjoyed a very wonderful friendship. As well, Sharon had great respect for all the wonderful people at Kenora Association for Community Living, as they were like her second family and was there for her when ever needed or just to have a visit, dinners or a shopping trip. It didn't matter where she went or who she met, she was loved by all immediately. The family would like to express a heart felt thank you to the staff and nurses of Birchwood Terrace and Kenora Association for Community Living for all their care, concern and love given to Sharon. Special thanks to Dr. Bowerman, Dr. Beverage, staff and Doctors at Lake of the Woods Hospital. Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 23rd, 2010 at Alcock Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Cathy Giroux officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. If so desired, a donation to honor Sharon's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Team at Birchwood Terrace, Kenora Association for Community Living or a charity close to your heart.
