I was heart broken to hear of your loss. It's difficult to find words of comfort at times like these but the thoughts and prayers of my family are with you. Though your time with your daughter Lila was short remember as Thomas Campbell said To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.

My family are Wild season ticket holders and we met Kurtis at the annual Wild About Children fundraising dinner. As parents of 4 boys (1 a surviving twin) we have lived through the loss of a child. We wish that nobody else ever had to join this club. We are especially saddened that such an amazing, grounded, and positive person as Kurtis and his wife would have to endure this type of loss. Are thoughts and prayers are with you. mark & chris hesse-withbroe

...never seem to be enough, but I offer them anyway to someone I used to root for who fought off the injury of his physical body. Now the fight is different, but you must stay strong for each other. May the light protect your little one, and the powers of the heavens shine upon her path.

As a new father and someone who recently lost their father to cancer, it is still impossiible to imagine the pain you and your wife are going through right now. Keep you chin up and get through each day however YOU feel is appropriate. The pain will never completely go away, but your mind is able to deal with it best bit by bit. Cherish the memories you have. All the best during this difficult time.
God Bless you
