Alice Boston

BOSTON, Alice - Quietly at home on Sunday, February 21, 2010, Alice died at the age of 61. Beloved wife of Spike for 40 years. Loving mother of Tac, Brad (Liz), Brandy and Lyndsey (Derek Jackson). Proud grandma of Alyssa. Dear sister of James (Leah) Durfy, Anne Durfy, Helen (Thomas) Williams, Eleanor (Jerry Shaw) Shepherd; and sister-in-law of Nancy (Ray) Peltier, Sue (Michael) McMahon, Kay Wyszynski and Julie Boston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Margaret Durfy, brothers Jack, Bob and Henry Durfy and her sister Verna (Dave) Georgi, brother-in-law Skip Boston and Ed Wyszynski. Alice was active in promoting Junior Sailing and organizing Sailfest Regatta with the Sarnia Yacht Club. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Alice's life will be held at the Sarnia Yacht Club on Thursday, February 25th at 4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Sarnia Yacht Club, Junior Sailing Program, 1220 Fort St., Pt. Edward N7V 1M2 or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 415 Exmouth St., Sarnia N7T 8A4.
