Leo Walter Delsnyder

DELSNYDER, Leo Walter - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 11, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Leo Walter Delsnyder passed away at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Susan. Loving father of Jim (Sue), Ann Marie (Bill), and Paul (Stephen). Cherished grandfather of Sarah (Nick), A.J., Victoria (Matt), Alyssa (Travis), Kelly (Brett) and great-grandfather of Adam. Dear brother of Frances, Theresa, and Peter. Remembered by several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Predeceased by his brothers Eugene, Adam, Ralph, Joe, and sisters Katherine and Marion. Following his retirement, Leo travelled frequently with his wife Susan, making unforgettable memories. Leo was a lifelong and dedicated Saskatchewan Roughrider fan. He was always very active, whether he was curling at the Sarnia Golf & Curling Club, bowling, or enjoying social outings with his friends and family. Leo will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME , 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1465 Lecaron Ave, Sarnia, on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Diabetes Canada, St. Vincent De Paul - Sarnia, or St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please). Dear Sue and family, we were deeply saddened to learn of Leo’s death. He was such a lovely man with that twinkle in his eyes when he smiled. We remember you all fondly and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
