John Dunlop

DUNLOP, John - John Dunlop of Bloomington Cove Care Community in Stouffville passed away at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the age of 72. Survived by his children Eleanor and Brendan Ankaart; by his siblings Lauree Dunlop, Patricia (Vic) Dale and Wayne Dunlop; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Laurie and Eileen Dunlop and by his brother Michael Dunlop. John was a freelance reporter with several publications and enjoyed being with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A private interment of ashes will be held in Holy Angels Cemetery on a later date. Arrangements entrusted to SHAWN JACKSON FUNERAL HOME 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). If desired, donations to the Alzheimerís Society would be appreciated. Sorry to hear of John's passing. We lived right near the Dunlop's for a lot of years. He was very nice and studied all the time. My condolences to the family in this time of John's passing. A good person who passed too early

I was sorry to read the news of John’s passing. We were classmates for several years and met briefly many years later where I learned he was a reporter, a noble pursuit. John was always kind and jovial. And his passing came all too soon.
